Gay Baltimore Fitness Trainer Was Beaten To Death
Staff and students at the Carroll Community College are currently in mourning after one fitness instructor was found dead inside his apartment.
This past Thursday, Baltimore police found the corpse of 43-year-old Brendon Michaels in his apartment on Saint Paul Street. According to the Baltimore Sun, an autopsy on Michaels’ body found that he had been beaten, and his death is now categorized as a homicide. Even further, the Washington Blade adds that Michaels’ death is considered a “homicide from trauma.”
Again, the community around the Carroll Community College is mourning the loss of Michaels who was a popular member of the institution.
Michaels is a Carroll County local who was hired by the community college as a full-time fitness instructor back in 1999. He was then later named coordinator of the Carroll Community College Fitness center in 2008 before later becoming a certified personal trainer in 2014.

The Carroll Community College later released a press release to share the news of Michaels’ passing and his history with the school.
“We are extraordinarily sad to hear about the passing of our beloved friend and staff member Brendon Michaels,” said Carroll Community College President James Ball in the press release. “Brendon was a vibrant and well-respected member of the college community for over 20 years.”
“He was high energy, passionate about fitness and always willing to help anyone in need,” added Ball. “Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. Brendon will be truly missed and will never be forgotten.”
