By choosing a studio that measures just 12 feet by 7 feet, Felice Cohen can afford to live in Manhattan’s Upper West Side where apartments rent for an average of $3,600 per month. She pays just over $700 for her 90-square-foot microstudio. After a bit of adjustment she now loves living smaller, simpler and cozier.

  1. If you want to live with rat infestations, filthy restaurants, nastiness on every level, garbage, liberal stupidity,
Rude people, high taxes and filth and noise..NYC is your place..where living like a rat is soooo cool..NOT….I wouldn't live in or near that shithole….but to each his own.

  5. It’s obviously clear that she wants out as soon as possible as she is been there for 3 years instead of 1 year but she has made peace with it and is losing cool you know. I planned to live in PG for 1 year but am already past 20 months because not because I totally love it living with a family but it’s economical, don’t feel lonely and as like her I walk to work, shop and nearby public parks. Saving is such a cool thing I realized since I started earning myself.

  10. y’all realize that she probably isn’t in her apartment all day? like not everyone is a homebody, especially in NYC.

  11. I would have been embarrassed to go on here as a professional organizer … not for living in that space . She did a terrible job of organizing the place

  12. Idk why people are bashing her about how and where she lives. Man I think its actually cool. Of course with no kids and all its fine for a short time but not long term.

  13. I would live here. My room is much smaller than her apartment and I share the rest with 3 roommates. I would totally live there.

  14. We have a similar room at home. We keep the lawn mower and the kids bikes in it! Standing on that chair was a real dumb move, seconds away from a broken collar bone!
